Tournament Details
Individual stroke play over 18 holes — Palos’ nine played twice. Every player keeps their own card, every stroke counts, and the lowest total wins the inaugural Oplenac Open outright. No handicaps, no mulligans, no gimmes that anybody will admit to.
Cards are read at the scorer’s table and posted to this board as they come in. Out is your first nine, In is your second. Red numbers are under par, green numbers are over — the way it’s done in Georgia.
Closest to the pin and longest drive will be marked on the day. Winners are announced at the scoring table and posted here afterwards.
Groups go off every ten minutes from 9:10 AM to 10:50 AM. Keep up with the group in front of you, not the group behind you. If you’re looking for a ball, wave the next group through and take the drop.
Every group tees off in the morning. Times after the last group are not fixed yet — they depend on pace of play and will be confirmed closer to the day.
Every association begins with somebody willing to make the tee sheet. Nikola Prvulov serves as Pro Tempore Commissioner of the Serbian Golf Association for its founding year — pairing the field, setting the format, ruling on the day, and handing the first champion whatever it is we decide champions get. The tournament is organized and operated by Oplenac Sports.
The Venue
A tree-lined nine in Orland Park that plays honest and doesn’t need tricks. Played twice it measures a par 70 — enough golf course to separate the field without embarrassing anyone, which is exactly what an inaugural championship needs. The clubhouse carries Murphy’s on the Green, and that is where this will all be settled.

Arrive by 9:00 AM — that gives you time to check in, hit a few, and roll a couple on the practice green before your group is called. Carts and the pro shop are through the clubhouse. Late is not a strategy: the tee sheet runs every ten minutes and it does not wait.
Murphy’s on the Green sits at the clubhouse. Cards get checked, stories get better, and the first champion in the history of this association gets named right here.

The SGA Tour
The SGA is not real. Not yet. It could be with your participation. The Oplenac Open is the first tourney, that can be our Masters.
We are built out of the Sveti Jovan Serbian Orthodox Church in Bellwood, IL. Bellwood · Oplenac · Homer · Imanje are our identities.
The association will exist to give the people in it a reason to be on a golf course together more than once a year. If this one goes the way we think it will, there will be meze on the beer carts in a matter of a few tournaments, sve najbolje sa nama.
Four candidates, one ballot each. The winner gets pitched to the Inaugural Interim Commissioner — whether he adopts it is entirely his call, and he is not known for being talked into things. Vote before the first tee.
Augusta caps its champion in a jacket. We cap ours in a šajkača — dyed Oplenac green, handed over at Murphy's, worn at the first tee the following year.
No card is official until the whole field has raised one together. Last group in pours for everybody. Živeli.
One name a year, engraved. In a hundred years the plate is full and somebody has to commission a bigger one. That is the point.
Every champion is invited back for life, no questions, no entry. That is the entire rule and it never changes.
